Neeta has been associated with the introduction of World Wide Web Services to Government since 1996. She has consulted a number of Government departments on their Portal Development strategies. She developed an E-Government Toolkit for developing Nations with UNESCO in 2005. As National Project Coordinator she has led the Architecture, Design, and Development of the National Portal of India, india.gov.in, gateway to Indian Government Information and Services. She has also authored guidelines for Indian Government websites for government departments to comply with. She is currently leading Open Data Implementation in Government and has set up Data Portal India, data.gov.in. She is currently focusing on sustained release of High Value Datasets.
