Laura Manley is the Co-Founder for the Center for Open Data Enterprise, where she leads partnerships and programs. As an open data advocate, Laura developed and launched the GovLab’s Open Data 500, the first comprehensive study of U.S. companies that use open government data to generate new business and develop new products and services. In addition to her work on open data, Laura has over 10 years of strategic planning experience with multiple international agencies including the World Bank, United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs and Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, UNICEF, the National Endowment for Democracy, and MasterCard Foundation. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from NYU Wagner focusing on international policy and entrepreneurship and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
