Participate in Canada’s national dialogue on how to set priorities for releasing federal government open data.

This 60 minute interactive session will present a draft approach to prioritizing the release of the Government of Canada’s open data. The majority of the time will be spent in conversation on the following topics:

  • What are the most important criteria and what are the trade-offs? (i.e. Should easy to release datasets be prioritized ahead of high value datasets that will take a longer time to release?)
  • What constitutes high value data?
  • What practices are currently in use around the world? (i.e. How have other countries around the table prioritized dataset releases?)
