Delight Aniche leads Open Development Initiative; an NGO conceptualized as a civil society response to education and government support of education in Nigeria. Open Development Initiative is committed to the promotion of transparent, accountable, and sustainable development through citizen engagement and real-time monitoring of government policies and actual spending on key sectors (e.g., education) and their overall impacts. The Initiative is very keen in using common and simple ICT technologies in innovative ways to reach and engage remote and marginalized communities with the aim of stimulating open data participation, competency, and access to information. Prior to leading the Initiative, he worked with a number of local CSOs including Independent Service Delivery Monitoring Group where he was the Senior Programme Office/Head of ICT for 2 years. He has a master’s degree in Cyber Security Science and lectures at Gregory University Uturu.
